The Existence of God, Time and Space in light of Religion and Physics
زمان و مکان اور وجود باری تعالیٰ: مذہب اور طبیعیات کی روشنی میں
Abstract
The concept of Time and Space has been a topic of debate for hundreds of years among philosophers, but since the last century, the physicists are more interested in this issue especially after the emergence of Quantum physics. On the other hand, most of religion, more specifically Islam, declared God as eternal and the everlasting existence which is beyond or either outside the time and space. In the past centuries It was of course very difficult to perceive the idea of being timeless and infinite, as we live in physical realm and we experience things through our senses which are directly subjected to the limitations of materialistic nature and four dimensions. But today, this doctrine is more comprehensible and easier to grasp because of modern physics. A lot of researches have shaded a tremendous light and completely altered the past ideas about absolute time and space. In this article, we shall examine how the notion of an eternal and infinite being relates to the modern ideas of Time and space. Moreover, we will explore the ideas of time and space in major religions of the world with regard to Almighty being.
