The Women as the Head of the Government: the Views of Mufti Mehmood and the Contemporary Scholars and Realignments among theirs Thoughts.

Abstract

Maulana Mufti Mehmood is considered to be the famous commentators of the Quran .He was a well-known faqih of his era. He belongs to Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber pakhtoon khawa Provence. Allah almighty blessed him with immense abilities. He has a bold and strong position over the opinion of “the role of women as head of government” as government member and as an opposition. He played a leading role in this regards on all fronts. even in his Tafseer and fiqi (FATAWA) books, he point out the abomination about the leadership of women in the system of government .In this regards he presented his strong position, based on the great and guiding principles of Islam, He also raised this issue in parliament and based it on strong and reasonable arguments, He wanted to resolve this issue in the light of Qur’an and sunnah. He gave scholarly and academics answer some of the objection in this regards. This article covers mufti Mehmood and other contemporary religious scholars about their ideas and thoughts regarding women leadership in society and state. The main objectives of the article are to discuss issues such as the weakness of women as ruler, incompetence in the state affairs and dealing with the common sense.
