All grammarians did not differ in taking the Noble Qur’an as one of the principles of quotation because it is the book of Allah Almighty, and just as it was not available for the text of what was available for the Holy Qur’an from the frequency of its narrations, and from the care of the grammarians, eloquent scholars from the followers, from the Companions, from the Messenger of Allah, (Peace be upon him), mutawatir (Continued) Arabic text that is agreed upon by its recitation by the ways in which it reached us in performance, movements and dwellings, indeed no nation has taken care of the text of what the Muslims have taken care of in the text of their Qur’an, and accordingly the correct text is gathered to be invoked in language, grammar, morphology and the sciences of rhetoric.
In this research, we will try to identify Ibn Hisham's method of citing Quranic verses through his grammatical books. The research included a preface and four sections. In the preface, we dealt with “the citation of Quranic verses by grammarians. As for the investigations, the first of them are: “the purposes of his dependence on the Quranic verses”, and the second: “the attempt to come up with the verse after each rule”, and the third: “citing the part of the verse.” And the fourth: “Obviousness in citing Qur’anic verses.”
