Abstract

Marriage is a social and Shariah contract which is not for temporary pleasure but to be fulfilled till death. The Shariah has placed the attribute of piety at the top in choosing a life partner, if it is followed, then no major disagreement will occur. However if such a situation arises, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has suggested various measures to solve it. If the spouses follow them sincerely, then its positive effects will definitely be seen, and it is possible that they will again lead a life of love as before. It should be clear that although divorce is halal per se,but it is also the most undesirable of all halal things. However, it has been allowed from time to time. On this occasion, when emotions are intense, the Prophet (PBUH) has given teachings regarding human psychology. If they are followed, the spouses will be willing to act consciously and will not take any step that will not be compensated later.
