Nisan Akbarabadi: An Important Historian of the Twentieth Century

Abstract

Nisan Akbarabadi is a family poet. His family is a family of poets and this verse "In Khana Huma Aftab Ist" is true for him. Mir Anais had said that the fifth Pashtu is in Shabbir's praise. In my poor knowledge, the third Pashtu is also of Nisan Akbarabadi. Syed Ali Ibad alias Nisan Akbarabadi is one of the poets of the twentieth century who used his poetic ability in different ways. He recited prayers in various genres in such a way that his Kadir-ul-Kalami was confirmed. He provided proof of his ability in poetry by reciting ghazals, poems, qasidas, hymns, naats, salams, segments and historical segments. His perfection is that he presented the Holy Quran in the form of Urdu poems. He dressed the 239 sermons of Nahj-ul-Balagha in the form of a poem. The prayers of Saheeh Kamila, which is a col lection of prayers of Hazrat Zainul-Abidin (Radi Allahu Anhu), were presented in the form of a poem through poetry. These literary achievements will always be remembered in literary history of Urdu.
